The story of how Alora Balance began, with a question from my mom.
Where it started
“Why is something that's supposed to help actually making me feel worse?”
That's what my mom, Lola Zinger, said after she started taking a generic magnesium supplement. That question is what started everything.
Reading reviews across dozens of brands, the same complaints came up again and again.
“It seems strange to take something for better health with very unhealthy ingredients in it.”
“It worked to bring my magnesium level up. But was not happy about the increased stomach problems.”
“I've been taking them for a month now, but I'm wondering if magnesium is the reason for this strange 'burned tongue' taste.”
How it came together
So I set out to change that.
Over the next eight months, I talked with doctors across the country and read everything I could, always with my mom in mind. What I kept finding was that women needed something different, gentler and better forms of magnesium, made for what their bodies actually need.
